Nicole Laplante

Nicole was born and raised in a small rural community off Highway 17, just east of North Bay. As a young woman, she moved to the “City” where she was offered a legal receptionist position working with Susan and Geoffrey Larmer. In no time, Nicole transitioned from reception to law clerk given her eagerness to work hard, passion for the law and dedication to her clients. She now finds herself a veteran among our law clerks with 20 years’ of experience in civil litigation, specializing in automobile accident benefit claims. Nicole has been instrumental in the management and resolution of accident benefit claims with adjusters and insurance defence counsel. She has worked alongside Geoffrey for the majority of her career and has a strong appreciation for his attempts at humour. Her ability to connect with clients, lawyers and insurance professionals is unparalleled. Nicole always goes over and above to get things done. She would love to have the title “Senior Law Clerk” but she doesn’t want to offend anyone.

When she is not working, she enjoys gardening and backwoods camping with family during the summer months. Though winter is her least favourite season, she does her best to get out snowshoeing when the weather permits.
